Flat-leaf or curly parsley in fresh or dried form, with leaf, stem, packing and handling requirements defined.
Parsley is a culinary leafy herb sold in fresh bunches, leaf packs and dried forms. Flat-leaf and curly types differ in presentation and should be identified when a buyer needs a consistent garnish, retail pack or ingredient. Root parsley is a different product requirement and is not automatically included in a leafy-parsley offer. Duara Group assesses the requested type, physical form, quality, preparation and packing for the intended commercial use. Cultivation evidence in the country section does not establish a particular pack, processing service or available Duara inventory.

Parsley buying guide
Flat-leaf, curly and other product boundaries
Specify flat-leaf or curly parsley where the appearance, texture or customer recipe makes the distinction important. A general parsley label should not permit an unapproved type change in a retail programme. Fresh bunches and dried flakes also require separate acceptance criteria. Root parsley is not a substitute for the leafy product covered here. If chopped, frozen or otherwise prepared parsley is required, request a distinct processing and ingredient specification rather than assuming those services from a country's record of growing fresh herbs.
Fresh quality and preparation yield
Assess leaf colour, turgidity, yellowing, bruising, physical damage and stem condition in a representative commercial pack. State whether the order is bunches, sprigs or a more closely trimmed leaf presentation. Stem allowance affects preparation time and usable yield for a kitchen or processor, so it belongs in the specification. Clarify any washing or preparation status and supporting food-safety documentation. An attractive green appearance does not establish readiness for direct consumption, a residue result or the handling history of the lot.
Dried flakes, cut material and powder
Dried parsley buyers should define the flake or particle-size distribution, leaf and stem content, colour and aroma criteria. Excess fine material may perform differently from visible flakes in a finished food, even if both are sold as dried parsley. Set foreign-matter and physical-defect limits and identify any moisture, microbiological, residue or other testing schedule needed for the customer and destination. A treatment declaration must refer to the actual product. Growing-country statistics should not be presented as evidence of local drying or other processing capacity.
Retail, kitchen and manufacturing packs
Fresh bunches and retail packs should have a clear net-content or agreed bunching basis, suitable protection against crushing and the label information needed by the receiving customer. Bulk kitchen or manufacturing packs can use different presentation but still need a defined leaf and stem allowance. Dried parsley needs protection from moisture, odours and pack damage. Confirm liner material, outer-pack strength, lot coding and pallet limits. A quotation should identify those details so the buyer can compare offers on the same usable product and packing basis.
Storage and distribution requirements
Obtain handling instructions for the proposed form and review the fresh-herb route from packing through loading, transfers and receiving storage. Agree the required arrival condition and evidence for the offered shelf life rather than applying a general promise to every pack. Dried parsley should be kept protected from damp conditions, contamination and damaged seals. Ask for the date-code system and traceability appropriate to the product. A documented growing country does not establish harvest date, packing date, local processing or the suitability of a particular shipment.
Details to include in a parsley quotation request
Send the flat-leaf or curly requirement, fresh or dried status, leaf and stem presentation, flake or cut specification where relevant, intended use, pack, quantity and destination. Include quality tolerances, sample approval, testing and any customer documentation. Identify which substitutions require written approval. Duara then assesses the actual proposed supply and route. Country records are agricultural context and do not imply a verified Duara supplier, certification, minimum order, available stock or guaranteed delivery from every listed origin.
Documented Production by Country
These are documented examples of parsley cultivation or processing. Named operators are evidence of activity, not Duara partners. Undated statements are labelled as such; no national quantities, certifications or availability are inferred. Global country coverage remains partial.
These are dated production or manufacturing records, not a list of Duara suppliers or confirmed delivery destinations. The directory covers the evidence verified so far; it does not claim an exhaustive list of all producing countries.
Parsley in Ethiopia
Green Mark names parsley among herbs grown on its Ethiopian farms. This is direct cultivation evidence; no national quantity or processed-ingredient output is inferred.

Frequently asked questions
Are curly and flat-leaf parsley interchangeable?
Only where the buyer approves the type change. Retail presentation, preparation and recipe requirements may depend on the specified type.
Does leafy parsley include root parsley?
No. A root-parsley requirement needs a separate product specification; it should not be fulfilled with leafy herbs or vice versa.
Why specify flake size in dried parsley?
Visible flakes and fine powder behave differently in appearance and handling. Agree the distribution and acceptance basis for the intended food product.
Does fresh parsley mean ready to eat?
No. Washing, preparation status and appropriate food-safety documentation must be confirmed for the actual product and intended use.
