Hard coking coal
Assess strength contribution and coke reactivity within the intended blend.
Coking coal evaluated for coke strength, blend compatibility and impurity limits.
Coking coal softens and resolidifies during carbonisation to form coke. Its value depends on how it performs within the buyer's coke-oven blend, not simply its calorific value. Hard coking, semi-hard and semi-soft trade descriptions should be supported by agreed tests and the buyer's technical approval.
Bulk supply available upon request. Source and supply available upon request.

Indicative estimate only. Prices are subject to change based on current market conditions, product grade and specifications, crop season, availability, freight, taxes, duties, destination, regulations and final supplier confirmation. This is not a binding quotation.
Prepared in your browser. Your request is shared when you send it in WhatsApp.
The options below can be investigated against a complete buyer specification. Availability, producer, origin and conformance are confirmed in the written quotation.
Assess strength contribution and coke reactivity within the intended blend.
Evaluate its blend role and acceptable proportion through plant trials.
Agree laboratory and industrial trial acceptance before a recurring programme.
These are enquiry fields, not published lot values. The final specification and test basis must be agreed for each supply.
| Parameter | What to define |
|---|---|
| Coking properties | Request fluidity, dilatation, swelling/caking tests and reflectance where relevant. |
| Coke performance | Agree CSR/CRI and test conditions where the buyer uses them. |
| Impurities | Set ash chemistry, sulfur, phosphorus and alkali limits for the ironmaking balance. |
| Calorific value | State GCV or NCV, kcal/kg or MJ/kg, and analytical basis. GAR means gross as received; GAD means gross air-dried. These are not interchangeable. |
| Moisture | Specify total moisture as received and analysis/inherent moisture separately, with methods and limits. |
| Ash and sulfur | State maximum percentages and their analytical basis; add ash chemistry and fusion behaviour for the receiving process. |
| Volatile matter and fixed carbon | Specify basis and limits. Fixed carbon is calculated by difference in proximate analysis, not the same as elemental carbon. |
| Particle size | Define top and bottom screen sizes, oversize and fines tolerances, and sampling point. |
Duara Group coordinates sourcing inquiries from Nairobi for African and international buyers. Tanzania, Kenya and South Africa are sourcing markets, subject to source verification. Supply through Kenya may be imported and does not establish Kenyan mine origin. Origin, current availability, assay, export eligibility and delivery terms are confirmed for the proposed shipment.
Actual grades and analyses vary by supplier and shipment. A geological rank, processing description or country name is not a guaranteed specification.
Lumps, fines and dust describe particle size, not rank. Specify a screen analysis and limits on undersize and oversize. Washed coal has undergone beneficiation; washing does not guarantee a particular ash content. Sized coal has been screened. Run-of-mine material is unprocessed and may require preparation. Coal briquettes are manufactured products whose binder, strength, moisture and emissions characteristics require separate approval. Charcoal briquettes and petroleum coke are different materials.
Compare offers on a common energy basis. GCV includes heat recovered by condensing combustion water; NCV excludes that latent heat. GAR and GAD use different moisture bases. One kcal/kg is approximately 0.0041868 MJ/kg. A laboratory needs moisture and, for net-value calculations, additional composition information to reconcile unlike offers accurately.
Inquiries can assess Tanzanian origin and regional routes against the offered coal specification. The Tanzania sourcing guide explains producing regions, source checks and transport considerations. No mine access or reserved allocation is implied.
Supply in Kenya may involve imported coal, local traders and regional deliveries. A Kenyan supplier address does not prove Kenyan geological origin. See bulk coal procurement in Kenya for delivery and source-verification questions.
Source assessment includes grade, exporter documentation and the specific inland and port route. See the South African buyer guide. An export terminal's capacity does not establish an individual supplier's shipping allocation.
These markets do not limit international sourcing. Quote metric-ton quantities, recurring requirements and destinations. FOB, CFR or CIF proposals must identify the named port and agreed Incoterms edition. Freight scope, inspection, insurance where applicable, customs, discharge and inland delivery responsibilities belong in the contract. No minimum order, current price, capacity or lead time is guaranteed here.
Agree representative sampling, laboratory methods, analytical bases, inspection timing, quantity measurement and retained-sample procedures before shipment. A certificate of analysis must identify the lot and sampling point. Specify remedies for off-specification material and the controlling result if load and discharge tests differ. Confirm invoice, origin and transport documents and route-specific requirements before contracting.
Submit the required limits for assessment. Origin, availability, lot analysis, price and delivery are confirmed in the written quotation; the catalogue is not a stock offer.
Include application, coal type, GCV or NCV and basis, ash, sulfur, moisture, volatile matter, fixed carbon, sizing, metric-ton quantity, destination, named Incoterm and delivery window. Add process-specific tests for coking or PCI coal.
State monthly tonnage, receiving capacity and call-off schedule. Recurring supply needs source and logistics confirmation and agreed quality controls for each shipment.
Grade, origin, packaging and order quantity are agreed per consignment. We do not publish stock or origin claims.

No. Submit your metric-ton quantity and specification. Source, availability, lot analysis, order size, price and delivery terms are confirmed in a written quotation.
The offered lot, sampling point and date, laboratory methods, analytical bases and tested values. Agree independent inspection and retained samples where required.
The source, exporter eligibility, destination requirements and freight route must be verified for the transaction. State the named Incoterm, port or final delivery point and required window.
