Multistranded copper pump connections
Request a copper conductor construction suitable for the pump and installation method. Confirm conductor area, stranding and termination compatibility rather than assuming any flexible cable will work.
Submersible pump cables connect submerged motors to their electrical supply using cable construction suitable for the specified water environment.
Duara Group coordinates submersible cable sourcing for borehole pumps, irrigation schemes, agricultural water systems and industrial pumping installations. Multistranded copper conductors can provide flexibility for installation and pump servicing, but the complete insulation, sheath where present and jointing system must be suitable for the specified immersion duty. Ordinary electrical cable intended for a dry or intermittently wet route is not automatically suitable for continuous submersion. The pump specification and water conditions guide procurement.

These are general cable construction options for specification discussions. The configuration, materials and performance of the proposed supply must be confirmed in the quotation; this list does not establish available sizes or stock.

Pump cable designs can have different profiles and insulation or sheath arrangements. These are general educational examples; the profile and core arrangement proposed for supply are confirmed against the pump requirements.
The selected construction must address continuous water exposure, pressure or depth, water temperature and chemistry. No immersion-depth or temperature rating is documented on this page.
No product-specific sizes, ratings or packaging have been documented for this cable. Request a supplier datasheet against the fields below before approving a quotation.
| Parameter | What to define |
|---|---|
| Motor and circuit specification | Provide motor power, operating current, supply arrangement, starting method and required protective conductor provision. |
| Water and immersion conditions | State continuous or intermittent immersion, depth or pressure, water chemistry and temperature; request supplier confirmation for these conditions. |
| Cable construction | Confirm multistranded copper, required cores, insulation and any sheath or water-blocking features; no supplied core-count or size range is confirmed. |
| Joints and installation limits | Request compatible submerged joint systems, sealing requirements, bend limits and support guidance for the proposed cable. |
Duara Group coordinates cable sourcing, procurement and distribution for Kenya, East Africa and international buyers. We do not manufacture cables. Producer, origin, quantities and delivery arrangements are confirmed for each enquiry.
No product certification, voltage rating, current rating, fire rating or temperature limit is claimed here. A qualified project designer must assess the proposed cable and applicable installation requirements.
Include the complete route from the control panel to the motor rather than pump depth alone. The designer should assess running and starting voltage drop, load duty and fault protection using data for the actual cable and motor.
Use the pump and cable instructions for supports and strain relief. The cable must not be used as a lifting line. Submerged joints and entries need compatible sealing systems; a suitable cable cannot compensate for an unsuitable underwater joint.
Ask for documented immersion performance and any required suitability evidence for potable-water contact. Resistance to irrigation water does not establish compatibility with salts, chemicals or process fluids. State the water system clearly in the quotation request.
Specifications vary by manufacturer and configuration. Confirm the points below when you enquire and we will quote against them.
A dry-location or wet-location designation does not automatically establish continuous immersion performance under pressure. Insulation, any sheath, joints and water chemistry must be evaluated for the actual submerged service.
It is only part of the route. Add the above-ground run, installation allowance and connections according to the approved pump installation plan.
Use motor current, starting duty, total route length, supply arrangement and installation conditions. The designer must check voltage drop and protection; no current-capacity or size table is claimed here.
No specific profile, core count, size or immersion rating is documented. Send the required construction or pump reference for a supplier-confirmed proposal.
Provide pump and motor details, total cable route, immersion depth, water conditions, required conductors, jointing method, quantities and destination.
