Available types and commercial grades

The options below can be investigated against a complete buyer specification. Availability, producer, origin and conformance are confirmed in the written quotation.

Zinc ore

Mineral material considered against representative assay and verified provenance.

Zinc concentrate

Processed mineral traded by zinc content, moisture and penalty-element profile.

Refined zinc ingot

Metal supplied by recognized grade, bundle/ingot form and mill certificate.

Secondary zinc

Recycled or secondary form considered only where product definition and legality are clear.

Zinc procurement guide

Zinc can be sourced as ingot, sheet, granule, powder or alloy feed, with purity, form and surface condition set by galvanizing, casting, chemical or fabrication use.

Form and industrial use

Galvanizing lines, die casting, alloying, roofing and chemical processes use different zinc grades and forms. The RFQ should identify the process and melting or feed arrangement.

Composition and material acceptance

Specify zinc purity or alloy, impurity limits, physical form, dimensions or ingot size, surface condition and requested certificate of analysis or material test record.

Unitisation and controlled handling

Dense ingots require stable bundles and lifting information; powders need separate hazard, moisture and packaging controls. State unit weight, pallet and storage limits.

Information to include in your quotation request
